Time to charge your glasses as the much-fêted Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival returns for the 26th year with talks, tastings, and some of the industry’s biggest names.
The eponymous Juliet Cullinan handpicked just 40 producers to showcase their best vintages at the most exclusive, longest running wine event in the country.
Juliet Cullinan – recognised as the Contessa of Cultivars created this unique marketing platform to recognise and acknowledge the skills of talented individual winemakers.
Small, select, and superior, the Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival presents vintages of distinction and quality in an elegant setting.
Says Juliet Cullinan: “We’ve built our reputation on continuity, celebration and a commitment to offer the best experience for both winery and taster.
“We bring the top talent to the attention of wine connoisseurs the world over by showcasing elite boutique wineries. This provides the ideal forum for interaction between wine aficionados and gifted cellar masters. And it’s fun!
“Wine lovers enjoy comparing grape, terroirs, and tastes with ‘the face behind the label’ and can discuss varieties, vintages and maturation for hours. Wine makers enjoying pouring their own wines as knowledgeable tasters are able to compare local with international styles and ask interesting questions.
“Their enthusiasm sparks me. I love sharing knowledge about the tradition of wine so anyone with a love for the fermented grape is welcome.
“Standard Bank’s 16 years of sponsorship has enabled the Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival to grow in stature and excellence. I expect this year’s event to be our best yet.”
